AIRBORED · THE DETAILS
Terms & Conditions
Good company for the journey. These terms explain how you can use Airbored, with or without an account.
Last updatedUsing Airbored
Airbored is an entertainment service: games, puzzles, trivia, reading, news headlines and travel-related activities. You can play as a guest or create an account for the account features. Use the service lawfully and in accordance with these terms and the Acceptable Use policy.
Creating an account means agreeing to these terms. The Privacy Policy explains data handling; optional analytics permission is separate and is not a condition of playing or creating an account.
Your account
Keep your sign-in credentials secure and use an email address you control. Google sign-in is handled by Google and Firebase. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, secure your sign-in method and use the Contact page to report the issue.
An account may be disabled or access restricted where needed to address misuse, security problems or legal obligations. Guest games and data already downloaded to your device are separate from account access.
Progress, journeys and downloads
Guest progress is saved on your device. Signing in can sync supported game progress, activity history, favorites, flight records and rewards with your account. Resolve any reported sync conflicts carefully; an account is not a guarantee that every device-local item has a cloud copy.
Downloaded games, packs and the latest news edition are intended to work offline after preparation. Browser storage limits, clearing site data, private browsing, device changes or interrupted downloads can remove or prevent access. Prepare and check your offline kit before travelling. Downloads do not transfer intellectual-property ownership.
Third-party services and news
Firebase provides account authentication and cloud storage. Google handles Google sign-in. Airbored’s news edition comes from The Guardian Open Platform and contains headlines, short descriptions where provided, publication details and links. Full articles are read on The Guardian’s website and require a connection.
External services and websites have their own terms and privacy notices. Airbored does not control their availability, editorial decisions or later changes. Publisher attribution does not imply a partnership or endorsement.
Content and intellectual property
Airbored’s original writing, design and application code, and third-party content and artwork, remain subject to their respective rights. Public-domain and licensed content retain the credits and source or licence conditions supplied with them.
You may use the app and its intended downloads for personal entertainment. Do not redistribute protected content or remove attribution without permission or an applicable licence or legal exception. News rights remain with the publisher and other rights holders.
Availability and changes
Airbored may update its software, content and available activities. Features may be interrupted for maintenance, network problems, third-party changes or security reasons. Offline copies can become outdated and are not promised to remain available indefinitely.
Material changes to these terms will be reflected in the dated policy. A material change to optional storage or analytics purposes will also require a new consent choice.
Leaving Airbored
Settings provides account export and account deletion for signed-in users. Deletion requires a recent sign-in and removes the account’s implemented Firestore collections and Firebase Authentication user. If deletion fails partway through, retry or contact the operator.
Account deletion does not automatically erase saved data on your devices. Use the device-data controls in Settings or your browser’s site-data controls separately. Export anything you want to keep first.
Service limitations and your rights
Airbored is provided as available for entertainment and general information. It does not promise uninterrupted access, error-free content or a permanent backup of progress. It is not an operational travel, aviation, safety or professional-advice service.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Airbored is not responsible for losses arising from reliance on entertainment content, third-party services or loss of device-local data beyond the operator’s legal responsibility. Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
No particular governing law, court or company identity is asserted here without confirmed operator information. Applicable mandatory law continues to apply.
